After a two-year hiatus, Miriam Drysdale is performing her first solo shows on Sept. 11-12 at The Alibi Room, 113 Durham St.

My Mother’s Songs is a night of music ranging from Sinatra to Bowie and so much more. It’s a look at the intricacies of the mother/daughter relationship; how grief and loss affect art; and above all, it is a tribute to a devoted mother, a beloved media personality and an undisputed ‘Queen Bitch’ … not necessarily in that order.

Drysdale is a Toronto-based musical theatre actor and comedian. Having toured all over the U.S. and Canada with various shows, she’s incredibly excited to share her art with her hometown.

Doors open both evenings at 6 p.m. and the shows start at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $20 with proceeds donated to the Living with Lakes Centre. Seating is limited so please reserve or buy tickets by contacting drysdalemiriam@gmail.com.
