The new system, which shows only billed amounts on the AccèsD platform, excludes payments in processing and preauthorized holds, leading to discrepancies in what users believe they owe.

Previously, the home-page balance included authorized transactions that had not yet been billed, providing a clearer picture of the total amount due. Now, customers may find that their displayed balance does not reflect recent payments for up to 24 hours, prompting some to suspect fraud when their balances do not update immediately.

In a notable shift, Desjardins has also removed the option for customers to pay their full balance in one click, requiring them to manually enter the amount they wish to pay.
