So far this Congress, the Senate has confirmed 44 U.S. attorneys and 37 federal judges. These confirmations are part of an ongoing effort to fill key positions within the Trump administration.

The obstruction faced by Senate Republicans has been historic. Since the beginning of President Trump’s administration, Senate Democrats have actively delayed the nominations process.

This situation creates uncertainty as House GOP leaders continue to struggle with legislative priorities, including funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Currently, 270,000 DHS employees are affected by funding issues that have persisted for 74 days.

The next steps remain unclear as both chambers navigate these challenges. The political landscape is tense as both parties prepare for upcoming legislative deadlines.
