Graham Pirie noted, “The old pool was in very poor condition,” highlighting the urgent need for a replacement.

The new pool is made of prefabricated stainless steel and serves as a hub for water safety training and seasonal programs.

It will cater to approximately 2,100 residents in the area.

The construction project was finished a month ahead of schedule, demonstrating efficient management by Chandos Construction and Berndorf Baderbau.

Looking ahead, the Embleton Community Centre is set to include an eight-lane competitive lap pool and a leisure/teaching pool.

This center is expected to be completed in late 2028 and has received significant funding—$64 million from the Government of Canada and $148 million approved by city council.

Patrick Brown stated that this center will be a “state-of-the-art recreational and community facility” for generations.
