Apple TV has replaced ESPN as the broadcaster for Formula 1 in the U.S., marking a significant shift in how fans will access the sport starting in 2026. This new deal allows Apple TV to stream all Grand Prix, qualifying, and practice sessions, making it the exclusive home for F1 races and programming in the United States.

The Japanese Grand Prix, scheduled for March 29, 2026, at the Suzuka Circuit, will be the third race of the season. The race is set to begin at 1 a.m. ET, although it faced a delay of 10 minutes due to an accident involving a Porsche Cup participant.

Apple TV’s subscription costs $12.99 per month or $99 per year, and it includes F1 TV Premium at no additional cost for subscribers. This move is expected to enhance the viewing experience for fans, who can also share their subscriptions with up to six people through Family Sharing.

“Apple TV is the new streaming home of Formula 1 racing, and you can catch all practices and qualifying races there,” an Apple representative stated. Fans can also access the content via a web browser at tv.apple.com.

As the exclusive broadcaster, Apple TV’s deal with Formula 1 runs through 2032, ensuring a long-term partnership that aims to elevate the sport’s profile in the U.S. market. The next F1 race following the Japanese Grand Prix will take place on May 3 in Miami.

While the transition to Apple TV is expected to bring new opportunities for fans and the sport alike, details remain unconfirmed regarding the full scope of programming and features that will be available under this new agreement.
