As of early Tuesday, Hezbollah’s drone operators have targeted Israeli troops in southern Lebanon and northern Israel. These tactics represent a shift in their operational strategy.
Hezbollah was formed during the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon. The group has received significant backing, financing, and training from Iran.
Hezbollah’s arsenal includes Iranian precision missiles capable of striking deep inside Israel. Before the Gaza war, their estimated rocket arsenal was around 150,000. However, it is now believed they retain just 10% of that capability.

The use of fiber-optic cables allows for drone operations up to 15 kilometers away. This enhances Hezbollah’s ability to conduct asymmetric warfare effectively.
Furthermore, the Taif Agreement exempted Hezbollah from disbanding as it was considered a resistance force against Israeli occupation. This status continues to shape their operational framework.
Iranian support remains crucial for Hezbollah. Hassan Nasrallah emphasized that Hezbollah’s resources come from Iran.
