Severe thunderstorms are expected in several regions of Quebec on Tuesday, bringing significant wind and rainfall.
As of early Tuesday, meteorologists have issued thunderstorm warnings across the province. Wind gusts may reach 70 km/h or more, raising concerns about potential power outages.
Heavy rainfall is anticipated, particularly in the eastern part of Quebec. Accumulations could reach up to 60 mm by Thursday evening.
Temperatures will drop sharply overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday. A significant cold front will bring a temperature drop of 12 degrees in just 12 hours.
The afternoon is expected to see the highest risk of thunderstorms, continuing into the evening. Areas most likely to be affected include Estrie, Centre-du-Québec, and Saguenay.

Officials have warned not to underestimate the possibility of damage to the electrical grid due to these storms. The combination of high winds and heavy rain poses a serious risk.
The forecast for temperatures shows a maximum of 19 degrees Celsius before the drop. By Wednesday morning, some areas could see minimums around 7 degrees Celsius.
