Plante was last seen on May 15, 1994, walking to a stable where her horse was kept in Star Valley, a small community located 90 miles northeast of Phoenix, Arizona. The sheriff’s office confirmed that investigators have resolved her status as a missing person.
Utilizing advances in technology and modern investigative techniques, the Gila County Sheriff’s Office developed new leads that ultimately led to a breakthrough in the case. “Investigators have confirmed her identity, and her status as a missing person has been officially resolved,” a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office stated.
