The City of Saint John has unveiled new emergency response equipment, funded by a significant grant of $40,000. This funding will enhance the Fire Department’s capabilities and improve public safety.

The new equipment includes a Yamaha all-terrain vehicle (ATV). Deputy Fire Chief Ed Moyer emphasized its importance for emergency response. “This new ATV is an important addition to our emergency response capabilities,” he stated.

This initiative reflects the city’s commitment to community services and public safety. The funding aims to ensure that first responders are better equipped to handle emergencies effectively.

Furthermore, yard waste collection in Winnipeg will start on May 4 for Area A and May 11 for Area B. Residents are reminded to place yard waste out before 7 a.m. on collection days.
