Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era has launched successfully on April 28, 2026. The game revives the beloved franchise with modern gameplay mechanics while retaining nostalgic elements. Developed by Hooded Horse and Unfrozen, it is available on Steam and Microsoft Store for 29.99€.
The game features six distinct factions: Temple, Dungeon, Schism, Grove, Necropolis, and Hive. Players can engage in various game modes including Classic, Single Hero, and Arena. The campaign mode takes approximately 12 hours to complete, with more content expected to arrive during early access.
Olden Era introduces several new game mechanics such as Law Points, Astrology Points, and Focus Points. These additions aim to enhance the turn-based strategy experience. Players can also enjoy fully voiced dialogue throughout the campaign.
The game was announced back in August 2024 at Gamescom. Since then, it has garnered significant attention, ranking as the eighth most wishlisted title on Steam. Notably, it does not require Ubisoft Connect for play.
