A former JPMorgan employee, Chirayu Rana, has filed a lawsuit against high-ranking executive Lorna Hajdini, accusing her of sexual harassment and abuse.

Rana claims that Hajdini drugged him and forced him into sexual acts. He filed the lawsuit under the pseudonym “John Doe.” This legal action also names JPMorgan Chase for retaliation and failure to investigate.

Following Rana’s allegations, JPMorgan conducted an internal investigation. As of early Tuesday, the bank found no evidence supporting his claims. A spokesperson stated, “Following an investigation, we don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims.”

Hajdini has categorically denied all allegations. She asserts that she never engaged in any inappropriate conduct with Rana. An ally of hers described Rana’s claims as a complete fabrication.

The lawsuit was briefly withdrawn before being refiled for corrections. Rana originally filed an internal complaint with JPMorgan in 2025 after joining the leveraged finance team in 2024.

Both individuals were colleagues in the same division but reported to different managing directors. Notably, Rana previously worked at several financial firms before becoming a principal at Bregal Sagemount.

As of midday Tuesday, no trial date has been set for the lawsuit. The exact details of the alleged incidents remain uncertain.

Rana’s allegations include claims of racial abuse and coercion, adding further complexity to the case. He reportedly sought millions in a payoff from JPMorgan.

Hajdini has been with JPMorgan since 2011 and is regarded as a top performer within the organization. She is currently 37 years old, while Rana is 35.

The outcome of this lawsuit could have significant implications for both parties involved and for JPMorgan Chase as it navigates this serious allegation within its ranks.
